On the first day of our journey, we will travel from the Valley of the Kings to learn about the pharoahs. There we hope to learn about the different pharoahs and their personal history. We also would like to learn about the similarities and differences in their ruling styles.
Day 2: Reading Hieroglyphs
On the second day of our journey, we will travel from the Valley of the Kings to the Temple of Luxor to read the hieroglyphs. There we hope to learn how to read and write, using the ancient Egyptian style of writing.
Day 3: Exploring Pyramids, Temples, and Tombs
On the third day of our journey, we will travel from the Temple of Luxor to the Pyramids of Giza to explore pyramids, temples, and tombs. There we hope to learn about how pyramids, temples, and tombs were made in ancient Egypt.
Day 4: Religious Mummies
On the fourth day of our journey, we will travel from the Pyramids of Giza to the Valley of the Queens to learn about religious mummies. There we hope to learn about how mummies were made in ancient Egypt and how the creation and preservation of mummies ties into their religion.
Day 5: Egypt's Inventions
On the fifth day of our journey, we will travel from the Valley of the Queens to Alexandria to learn about Egypt's technical achievements. Their we hope to learn about how advanced ancient Egypt was and what types of things they invented.
Day 6: Down the Nile
On the sixth day of our journey, we will travel from Alexandria to the Nile River to explore the geography of ancient Egypt. There we hope to learn about the geography of ancient Egypt, including where the different pharaohs lived and where the different monuments are located.
Day 7: Daily Life as an Egyptian
On the last day of our journey, we will travel from the Nile River to Cairo to experience the daily life as an Egyptian. There we hope to learn about the lives that people live and the typical jobs found in ancient Egypt.
